Gophers Welcome Youth Teams to Two Future Matches for Free

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota wrestling team has an exciting opportunity for young wrestlers and their coaches this upcoming season to come watch some action on the mat for free. The Gophers will be hosting a pair of youth days this season where high school teams, youth teams, and team coaches can attend a Gopher wrestling match for free at legendary Maturi Pavilion.
The first match will be against South Dakota State on Nov. 25 and the second opportunity will come at the Gophers' Big Ten dual on Feb. 3 against Purdue. Both matchups feature the highly-ranked Gophers battling two successful wrestling programs. Â
Individual youth wrestlers can sign up HERE while High school teams can submit their rosters to gsm@umn.edu.
Parents, siblings, and other guests are welcome but will be required to purchase a ticket to accompany the registered participants.
The Gophers are 1-0 on the season after defeating the Air Force Academy 33-3. They take on Oklahoma State on Sunday, November 18 in a highly anticipated match.
