Day Three Success at Minnesota Invite

Day three at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center saw eight Minnesota swimmers racing in the A finals and four setting new personal records in their events. Overall this weekend, the Gophers tallied 11 new PRs and five event wins at the Minnesota Invite.
Will Brenton earned the first PR of the day for the Gophers as he went 1:48.85 in the 200-yard Backstroke prelims to secure himself a spot in the A final. He finished seventh overall in the event. Nick Saulnier claimed a fourth-place finish and his second PR of the meet in the 100-yard Freestyle after swimming a 44.64.
Max McHugh's time of 1:56.19 in the 200-yard Breaststroke finals earned him another event win in addition to his first-place finish in 100-yard Breaststroke on day two. Teammate Eitan Yudashkin joined McHugh in the 200 Breaststroke A final and came away with fifth place after swimming a 2:00.17.
Emma Linscott also recorded her second PR of the meet on day three. She completed the 200-yard Butterfly race in 2:05.95 to take sixth in the event. During the men's 200-yard Butterfly, Max Lezer notched the fourth PR of the day for the Gophers with his time of 1:53.11.
