Meet Preview: 2019 Women's Gymnastics Intrasquad

The University of Minnesota women's gymnastics team will close out the calendar year with their annual intrasquad meet this Monday Dec. 31 at 4:00 p.m.
The Gophers will compete on one event at a time with anywhere from seven to ten athletes competing on each apparatus. Admission is free to the public and the entire team will be signing post-meet autographs.
Minnesota enters the season ranked No. 23 in the NACGC/W Preseason Poll and No. 5 in the Big Ten Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll. Ona Loper and Lexy Ramler were each selected to the Big Ten Women's Gymnasts to Watch List.
The Gophers boast seven gymnast who will be performing in the Maroon and Gold for the first time in a competition setting this Monday. Carson Cronin, Kaitlyn Higgins, Abbie Nylin, Tiarre Sales, Ali Sonier, Andrea Stancik and Hannah Willmarth will all be making their Minnesota debut at tomorrow's intrasquad.
Regular season competition opens up on Jan. 4 as the Gophers travel to Tempe, Ariz. to take on Arizona State. The team returns to Maturi Pavilion on Jan. 12 when the Gophers host Gustavus, Hamline and Winona State for the Best of Minnesota meet. Buy your tickets today!
