The Gophers won all three Big Ten weekly awards with Lexy Ramler earning Co-Gymnast and Co-Freshman of the Week honors and Ivy Lu notching B1G Event Specialist honors, the conference announced Monday.
Ramler has now won three Gymnast of the Week plaudits and has been named the Freshman of the Week for four straight weeks. She won the all-around with a 39.475 and has won the all-around title in all five meets this season.
Ramler did not finish less than second place in any event taking event titles on beam and floor. For the second time this season she notched a 9.950 on beam, third highest score in program history.
Lu finished bars with a 9.975 scoring a 10 from one judge. That mark tied the Minnesota school record and was the highest bars score at home in Gophers history. Bailie Holst scored a 9.975 one in 2016 and Mary Skokut had the other in 2004. On top of that Lu also set a career high 9.850 on beam with a podium finish.
Ramler, Lu and the Gophers will be back in action this Friday at 2 p.m. at the GymQuarters Invitational in St. Louis, Mo.
