MINNEAPOLIS - Minnesota women's swimming and diving team is geared up to travel to Columbus, Ohio for the Big Ten Championship meet Wednesday, Feb. 14-Saturday, Feb. 17. Prelims (every day but Wendesday) begin at 10 a.m. CT with the finals beginning at 5:30 p.m. CT each night.

BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHP OUTLOOK
Minnesota has recorded at least a top four finish in their last 12 Big Ten meets. The Gophers have won five Big Ten Championships in the last year ten years and became the first Gopher women's program to win four consecutive Big Ten titles during a four-year run from 2012-15.

The Gophers finished fourth at last year's Big Ten meet and had a final medal count of 13 which included four gold, three silver and six bronze.

DEFEANDING THE RELAY TITLE
Four All-Big Ten first teamers return to the championship pool as Zoe Avestruz, Lindsey Kozelsky, Danielle Nack and Tevyn Waddell look to defend their 200 medley relay gold medal. The `A' relay squad posted a Big Ten record time of 1:35.55 at last year's meet.

SHE'S A SOPHMORE
Reigning Big Ten Freshman of the Year Tevyn Waddell has not lost a 100 backstroke race this season posting a season-best time of 52.39 back at the Minnesota Invitational. Waddell won last year's 100 backstroke B1G race in a time of 52.09 which was .02 faster than Michigan's Clara Smiddy.

NACK CAN FLY
Senior Danielle Nack is on a mission to capture her first Big Ten gold medal in the 100 butterfly race. Nack currently holds the fastest time in the Big Ten this season after swimming a 51.79 at the Minnesota Invitational.

GOPHERS IN THE POLLS
Minnesota's women squad currently rank No. 16 in the latest TYR/CSCAA top-25 polls.

Each session of the B1G Championship meet will air live on btn2go.com with a condensed version of the meet airing Sunday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. on Big Ten Network. Bernie Guenther (play-by-play), Margaux Farrell (analyst), Natalie Kalibat (diving analyst) and Gabriella DiGiovanni (sideline) will be on the call.
