Gophers Fall to Tigers 4-3

Columbia, Mo. - The University of Minnesota fell to Memphis on the road Saturday, dropping their record to 7-3 on the season.
Doubles
Minnesota took the doubles point with wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. Annemarie Emme and Tina Kreinis won the No. 2 spot 6-2, while Mehvish Safdar and Caitlyn Merzbacher won the No. spot 6-3, giving them a 2-0 record for the weekend. Caroline Ryba and Cammy Frei lost the No. 3 doubles spot 6-0.
Singles
Emme fell in the No. 3 spot 0-6, 1-6, followed by a 3-6, 5-7 loss in the No. 1 spot from Ryba. Then, Barbara Mancera won the No. 3 spot, a 6-1, 6-3 win, and Tina Kreinis lost the No. 2 spot 2-6, 6-4, 3-6. Caitlyn Merzbacher tied the dual up at 3-3 with a 7-5, 7-5 win in the No. 5 spot, while Camila Vargas Gomez dropped No. 6 singles 6-4, 6-3.
