Minneapolis -- The Minnesota men's golf team makes its second trip of the year to the West Coast this weekend for The Goodwin at the Harding Park Golf Course in Palo Alto, Calif., March 29-31.
The Gophers are coming off an 11th-place finish at the Schenkel Invitational. With only two tournaments remaining before the Big Ten Championship, the team is looking for a strong performance. At The Goodwin, Minnesota will have a chance to face fellow Big Ten team Northwestern.
With a field of 25 teams and four individuals, the tournament will tee-off in a double shotgun start. The Gophers will tee-off in the second group at 3:20 p.m. CDT, on the 10th hole.
The Gophers last competed in The Goodwin in 2015, when they finished 17th out of 24 teams. Seniors Rúnar Arnorsson and Riley Johnson were freshmen, finishing second and fourth on the team, respectively.
