Karstadt Wins Parallel Bars National Title

FINAL RESULTS
Justin Karstadt and Joel Gagnon competed at the Canadian National Championships this past weekend with Karstadt coming away with the parallel bars championship.
Karstadt qualified for the event finals on both pommel horse and p-bars after day one while Gagnon made the event finals on floor.
“It was a great weekend for Gopher gymnastics at the Canadian National Championships,” head coach Mike Burns said. “Both Joel and Justin looked great out there and the weekend finished on a huge note with Justin picking up the national title on Parallel Bars. Team Canada continues to improve and Joel and Justin have been an instrumental part of that improvement.”
Gagnon notched a 13.700 on day one to tie for first. His 13.350 on day two placed him fifth in the event title.

Karstadt went 13.600 on p-bars on day one and had a 14.150 on pommel horse. He finished fourth with a 13.050 on pommel in the event finals and won with a 14.300 on p-bars.
