Gophers Announce 22nd Annual Dan Morgan Golf Open

The Gopher Baseball team has announced that it will host the 22nd Annual Dan Morgan Golf Open on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Medina Golf and Country Club.
The annual event, sponsored by the Golden Gopher Baseball Dugout Club in support of the University of Minnesota Baseball Program and its student athletes, was named after Dan Morgan, a First Team All-American Pitcher in 1977, who passed away on May 31, 1996. For the past 21 years, former teammates and the Dugout Club members have led the event to raise funds for the Gopher Baseball program. Over the last two-plus decades, the event has raised in excess of $175,000 in Dan Morgan's memory.
An entry fee of $200 includes lunch at the outside grill, green fee and golf cart, practice facility with range balls, personalized cart signs, tournament scoring, hole contests, BBQ dinner buffet, and a Gopher Baseball apparel item. Additionally, individuals or companies can purchase a tee or green sponsorship. Hole sponsors will have their names prominently displayed on a tee/green sign and in the golf information sheet. Tee and green sponsorships are 100% tax deductible.
The event will begin around 11 a.m. with registration, lunch, and practice swings, with an awards program taking place around 7 p.m.
