Noah Rasinski joins Minnesota after two seasons at Concordia University, St. Paul
MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota men's golf program has announced the addition of transfer Noah Rasinski, who spent the first two seasons of his college career at Concordia University, St. Paul. Rasinski will join the Gophers this fall and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
"Noah brings a level of excellence that will allow our program to succeed on and off the course," Gophers associate head coach Justin Smith said. "Leading his team at Concordia St Paul the past two seasons, he has won big events like the 2018 Lindenwood Invitational and 2018 NSIC Men's Golf Championship. We are excited to welcome Noah and his family to Gopher Golf."
A native of Credit River, Minn., and graduate of Lakeville South High School, Rasinski had been the Golden Bears' top scorer in each of the past two seasons with an average of 75.64 as a freshman and 73.15 as a sophomore for a two-year average of 74.35.
This past year, he won the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference championship after a one-hole playoff and was named to the NSIC All-Tournament Team. He was a three-time NSIC Men's Golfer of the Week, including after a tournament victory at the Lindenwood Invitational where he shot a 4-under school record of 209 for 54 holes to top the 93-player field. Rasinski also had a top-four finish at the Washburn Invitational and top-six placement at the MSSU Fall Invite.
As a freshman, Rasinski was named the NSIC Newcomer of the Year and earned All-NSIC First Team honors. He took home his first career individual title at Augustana's Battle at the Falls, setting a then-school record with a 215 over 54 holes. He had six rounds saw him shoot par or better, establishing a program single-season record.
At Lakeville South, he helped lead the team to a third-place finish at the 2015 MSHSL State Championships and a team runner-up spot in 2016. He earned five letters in golf and three in hockey.
