Game Times Finalized for Home Contests

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota women's basketball team finalized its home schedule Thursday with the announcement of game times for the remaining 13 contests that were not selected for national television last week.
In the month of November, the Golden Gophers established game times against non-conference opponents San Diego (7:30 p.m. on Nov. 17), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (7 p.m. on Nov. 20) and Cornell (3 p.m. on Nov. 23).
Four non-conference games highlight the calendar in December as Minnesota plays host to Air Force (3 p.m. on Dec. 2), Incarnate Word (noon on Dec. 5), Coppin State (7 p.m. on Dec. 12) and Rhode Island (3 p.m. on Dec. 22).
Within conference play, the Gophers will host Illinois at 3 p.m. on Jan. 6, while Purdue visits for a 7 p.m. tipoff on Jan. 24.
As the calendar turns to February, game times were set for 3 p.m. against Rutgers on Feb. 3, 1 p.m. versus Northwestern on Feb. 10 and 1 p.m. on Feb. 17 against Penn State. The home finale was also established against Michigan State for 3 p.m. on March 3.
The 2018-19 season begins for Minnesota on Friday, Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. against New Hampshire. Tickets for the home opener are on sale now for just $5 for Zones 1 and 2 and just $1 for seats in Zone 3. Fans can purchase tickets online at GopherSports.com or by calling 612-624-8080.
Minnesota is coming off a 24-9 season and a trip to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The team returns four of its top five leading scorers, 67.3 percent of its scoring, 67.4 percent of its minutes, 68.9 percent of its rebounds, 76.4 percent of its steals and 78.1 percent of its assists.
