Gophers Add Dylan Martinez to Program

149-pound Dylan Martinez has joined the Gopher wrestling program for the Spring semester and the remainder of his two years of eligibility. Martinez will redshirt the rest of the 2018-19 season.
Martinez wrestled at Fresno City College out of high school and was a two-time state champion in the California Community College (CACC). He secured his first state championship by major decision (11-2) and was the outstanding wrestler of the tournament. Martinez won his second by fall in 3:44.
The Fresno, California, native wrestled at Clovis High School at 126-pounds and was an integral part of their 91-dual winning streak.
Martinez now plans to major in recreation administration at the University.Â
