Both the Minnesota men's and women's swimming and diving teams were named Scholar All-America teams for the 2018 fall semester by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

In order to earn this honor, teams needed to post a grade point average of 3.0 or higher for this past fall semester and maintain a roster of at least 12 student-athletes. The Gophers were two of 713 teams from 460 different institutions across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA divisions to be recognized as such.

The women recorded a semester GPA of 3.49, which was the highest semester team GPA in program history as well as the highest team GPA among the Big Ten teams to receive accolades. The men were fourth out of the included Big Ten teams with their fall semester GPA of 3.17.

Minnesota returns to the pool on Feb. 1-2 as they head to Evanston, Ill. to compete against conference foes Northwestern and Purdue in their final meet prior to this season's B1G Championships.
