MINNEAPOLIS – Gopher Hockey sophomore forward Scott Reedy has been named the Big Ten Third Star of the Week after recording the nation's only hat trick last weekend in a 5-3 win over Ferris State at 3M Arena at Mariucci.
A native of Prior Lake, Minn., Reedy picked up his first goals of the season in the series opening victory and notched Minnesota's first hat trick since Brannon McManus recorded his first career hat trick in a 6-3 over Penn State at 3M Arena at Mariucci on Oct. 15, 2017. Reedy scored his first of the night less than two minutes into the contest and followed up with the eventual game winner and an insurance goal later in the contest.
The Gophers return to Big Ten play this weekend with a two-game series against Penn State at 3M Arena at Mariucci. Tickets are available at GopherSports.com.
