Gophers Finish 26th at Head of The Charles

BOSTON, MASS. - The University of Minnesota Gopher rowing team was represented by their first varsity eight boat at the 55th Annual head of The Charles Regatta. The boat competed in the Women's Championship Eights event on Sunday (Oct. 20) and finished 26th out of 32 teams with a time of 16:26.569.
The 1V8 boat beat out five other college teams: Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Dartmouth, Bucknell and Rhode Island.
The last time Minnesota competed at the Head of The Charles, they finished 31st out of 36 with a time of 16:32.809.

This was the first appearance for Megan Clark, Sarah Von der Goltz, Natalie Stratton, Lauren Burrows-Cheng, Lindsay Eliasen, Meg Messer, Sarah Reimann, Gabby Mullally and Melissa Wiebke at the Head of The Charles.
