Gophers hit the 20/20 milestone for the first time since 2006.
The Gophers scored 43 touchdowns in 2018, as they rushed for 23 and passed for another 20. This was the first season that Minnesota reached 20 rushing and 20 passing touchdowns in the same season since 2006. It was also only the fifth time since 1955 that the Gophers hit the 20-touchdown milestone in both categories, as they also did so in 2006, 2005, 2002 and 2000.
Minnesota had five players rush for a touchdown last season and were led by Mohamed Ibrahim, who found the end zone nine times. He was followed by Seth Green (8), Bryce Williams (4), Shannon Brooks (1) and Tanner Morgan (1).
Minnesota connected on 20 touchdown passes with both Morgan and Zack Annexstad tossing nine touchdowns each. Green also added to touchdown throws during the season.
On the receiving end of the touchdown passes were Tyler Johnson (12), Rashod Bateman (6), Demetrius Douglas (1) and Jake Paulson (1).
