Gophers Prepare For Homestand Against Northwestern, Illinois

After a rigorous road schedule the University of Minnesota women's tennis team (10-9, 3-4 B1G) returns back to Minneapolis to close out their regular season with five home matches. The Maroon and Gold will kick things off with Northwestern and Illinois on April 12 and 14th respectively.
What To Expect
In one of their toughest weekend's to date, the Gophers look to protect their 7-0 home season against the No. 29 Wildcats and No. 34 Illini. Similar to previous ranked competition, Northwestern and Illinois host ranked singles and doubles competitors throughout the lineup. No. 39 Clarissa Hand and No. 49 Asuka Kawai headline the singles action for each respective team. However, Northwestern will bring the only ranked doubles tandem to the weekend with No. 47 Lee Or and Clarissa Hand.
Minnesota will begin competition with Northwestern on April 12th at 4pm CT followed by Illinois on April 14th at 11am CT.
