Gophers Finish Competition at Big Ten Championships

BARABOO, Wis. – The Gopher Rowing closed out its season at the Big Ten Championships at Devil's Lake State Park finishing eighth.
Minnesota finished with 46 team points in Saturday's early morning competition. Big Ten Champion Michigan finished with 186 team points claiming first place finishes in the first novice eight, second varsity four, second varsity eight, and first varsity eight races. Ohio state finished second with 171 points and Wisconsin third with 109.
Addie Morris earned First Team All-Big Ten honors for Minnesota in her senior season. The Sussex, Wisconsin native has competed on the 1V8 for the Maroon & Gold each of the last three seasons.
Joining Morris among the All-Conference selections, Rylie Wargo earned her second career All-Big Ten Second Team pick. The senior from Pulaski, Wisconsin has also competed with the 1V8 each of the past three seasons.
Sarah Reimann represented the Gophers among the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award honorees for 2019. The sophomore from Bregenz, Austria competed with the 2V8 at the Big Ten Championships each of the last two seasons.
