Gopher Rowing has announced their 2019-2020 schedule today. Minnesota will have three races in the fall, including one home race, and seven in the spring.

"This schedule is a good mix of traditional BIG Ten match-ups and out of conference races," head coach Alicea Strodel said. "We'll have the opportunity to test our speed against some of the best crews in the country. Ultimately our goal is to put ourselves in competitive situations that challenge us and prepare us to be our best in the postseason."

The Gophers will open up their season on the Mississippi on Saturday, October 5 with the Head of the Mississippi, hosted by the Minneapolis Rowing Club. For the final race in October, the Maroon and Gold will head to Boston, Mass. on Sunday, October 20 to compete in the Head of the Charles.

Minnesota will close out its fall campaign with a scrimmage against Wisconsin, who placed 3rd at the 2019 Big Ten Championships, in Madison on Saturday, November 2.

Minnesota will be hitting the road in the spring as they compete in seven away races.

The spring season will begin with a trip to San Diego, Calif. for a scrimmage against San Diego State University. Minnesota will race on Sunday, February 8 against SDSU. The Gophers will have a break from competition until they head down to Oak Ridge, Tenn. for their spring break trip and to compete in the Cardinal Invite on March 14 and 15.

On Saturday, March 28, the Gophers will race at the Doc Hosea Regatta in Cherry Hill, N.J.

The Big Ten Invite will be held on April 10-11 in Oak Ridge, Tenn. The Maroon and Gold will keep the B1G vibes rolling as they head to Bloomington, Ind. to compete in the Dale England Cup on Saturday, April 18.

The regular season will be closed out with a scrimmage against Southern Methodist University (SMU) on Saturday, May 2 in Dallas, Texas.

Big Ten Championships will be held in Indianapolis, Ind. on May 17 with a trip to the NCAA Tournament on the line.
