Quotable
"It was a really great weekend overall," head coach Brad Frost said. "We played really well on both sides of the puck and had great goaltending. Offensively, we got a lot of shots and were able to put them in the net. I'm really proud of our team and loved the way we started the year. We're looking forward to this weekend coming up with Mankato, after they also got a big sweep. They're playing really well and their program continues to be on the rise. We're looking forward to getting down there and playing a nice two game set there."
Up Next: Minnesota at Minnesota State
The Gophers open their WCHA slate by traveling to Mankato, Minn., for a Friday-Saturday series with the Mavericks next weekend. Puck drop between Minnesota and Minnesota State is set for 7:07 p.m. CT Friday and 2:07 p.m. CT Saturday.
