Gophers Open 2019-20 Season at Prestwick

The 2019-20 season starts Monday for the Minnesota women's golf team, playing host to the seventh annual Minnesota Invitational presented by Land O' Lakes, Inc. The two-day, 54-hole tournament returns to par-72, 6,297-yard Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury for the third straight year, beginning with tee times at 7:30 a.m. Monday morning.
Admission to both days of the tournament is free. Live scoring is available via Golfstat at the link above.
Joining the host Gophers in the 15-team field are East Carolina, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Long Beach State, Louisville, Miami (Fla.), Missouri, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, San Francisco, San Jose State, UTSA, and Virginia Tech. Last season, San Jose
State claimed the title and the Spartans' Natasha Andrea Oon is back to defend her medalist finish.
The Gophers will have three individuals in the field joining the starting lineup of junior Joanne Free, freshmen Emma Carpenter, Grace Curran and Annabelle Ackroyd, along with junior Kate Lillie. Competing individually are sophomore Karen Zhang and juniors Grace Kellar and Jessica Lee.
Monday's event starts back-to-back home tournaments for the Maroon and Gold, who co-host the prestigious ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M next week at Royal Golf Club.
