Minnesota Auctioning Off “Wooger” Jerseys

Update: Due to unforeseen circumstances, the gold "Wooger" jersey auction will now end at 6:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Feb. 5.
MINNEAPOLIS – With Doug Woog Night on deck Saturday at 3M Arena at Mariucci, the Gopher Hockey program has announced that the gold "Wooger" jerseys worn tonight by the Maroon & Gold will be made available to Gopher fans across the country via an online auction on GopherSports.com.
The auction for game-worn jerseys will go live tonight (Saturday, Jan. 25) at 5:00 p.m. CT and remain open until Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 6:00 p.m. CT. Proceeds from the online auction will go towards the Doug Woog Endowed Scholarship.

After debuting the "Wooger" jerseys at the Mariucci Classic earlier this season, Minnesota will wear the sweaters once again tonight in the series finale against Ohio State at 7:30 p.m. CT (TV: Big Ten Network; Stream: FOX Sports App; Radio: 1130 KTLK-AM/103.5 FM). The Gophers will host Doug Woog Night to honor the late Gopher Hockey All-American captain and former head coach, who passed away on Dec. 14, 2019 at age 75. Tonight's contest will feature Doug Woog-inspired content throughout the game along with a ceremonial puck drop with the Woog family and appearances by Maroon & Gold alums. The University of Minnesota will also give out commemorative "Wooger" rally towels to fans at the game.
