Penn State Edges Gophers in Two-Day Match Play Event

NAPLES, Fla. - After winning four of six matches a day earlier, the Minnesota women's golf team saw its fortunes reversed on Sunday as its match play competition with Penn State concluded at Bay Colony Golf Club.
Emma Carpenter was the lone winner for the Gophers, topping Olivia Zambruno by one.
The Gophers return to action in tournament competition on Feb. 17-18, traveling back to the Sunshine State for the Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne, Fla.
