'U' Ranked 14th in USCHO Preseason Poll

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Gopher Hockey program will begin its 100th season of play ranked 14th in today's USCHO.com Preseason Division I Men's Poll.
According to the tentative plan announced by the Big Ten earlier this month, five of Minnesota's seven regular-season opponents find themselves in the preseason poll (Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Arizona State) -- meaning 20 of the Maroon & Gold's 28 regular-season games will be played against teams in the preseason rankings.
The USCHO.com poll consists of 50 voters, including coaches, beat writers and sports professionals from across the country. The poll, published weekly by the Associated Press, is a production of USCHO.com, which provides in-depth converage of college hockey.
The full 2020-21 Big Ten hockey schedule, including times and television designations, will be announced at a later date.
