'U' to Host Fan Appreciation Weekend

MINNEAPOLIS – The Gopher men's hockey program will celebrate Fan Appreciation Weekend as the Maroon & Gold host Michigan this weekend in the regular-season finale. The series opens on Friday, Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. CT with the weekend finale set for Saturday, Feb. 29 at 5:00 p.m. CT.
Discounted concession items will be offered throughout the entire weekend, including $2 popcorn and $2 fountain sodas. In addition, fans will have the chance to win autographed items and Gopher Hockey prizes through Lucky Seat, Lucky Row, and Golden Ticket T-shirt Toss surprises.
Get to the rink early on Friday as the first 1,000 fans will receive a FREE "You Betcha" t-shirt. Shirts will be available for pick-up behind Sections 12 & 24 while supplies last. Limit one per person.
Stick around following Saturday's game for autographs on the concourse with select players AND participate in FREE Chuck-A-Puck for a chance to win a Gopher Hockey jersey, Gopher gear, autographed items, and MORE! Pucks can be picked up behind Section 24, while supplies last. Pucks to participate are FREE. Limit one per person.
University of Minnesota students are encouraged to arrive early prior to both games to take advantage of FREE concessions items. On Friday, the first 500 students will receive a FREE souvenir cup and fountain soda. On Saturday, the first 500 students will receive a FREE hot dog. Students must show a valid U Card behind Section 14 to receive a voucher to redeem.
