STARTING FIVE
• The Minnesota men's basketball team welcomes Nebraska to the Barn on Sunday afternoon for the first meeting of the year against the Cornhuskers, along with the final regular season contest for both teams.
• Sunday will mark Senior Day, with the Gophers' three seniors - Alihan Demir, Michael Hurt and Brady Rudrud - along with senior managers Tyler Fenwick and Ben Gilliland being recognized in a pregame ceremony.
• Redshirt sophomore guard Marcus Carr became the Gophers' all-time single-season assists leader against Maryland. Carr had seven assists which moved him past Arriel McDonald's 26-year old record of 179 assists. The Toronto, Ontario native now has 191 on the season, including 119 in Big Ten games, breaking Ray Williams' record of 118 from the 1976-77 season.
• Sophomore center Daniel Oturu was named to the John R. Wooden Award Late Season Top 20 List and Citizen Naismith Trophy Midseason Watch List, both of which rank him among the top candidates in the nation for the men's basketball player of the year. He is also a finalist for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award for the nation's top center. Oturu is the only player in the country averaging 20+ points and 11+ rebounds per game.
• The Gophers rank highly among the nation's college basketball teams in several categories. As of Mar. 6, Minnesota is 31st in fewest turnovers (B1G: 4th) and 33rd in blocked shots per game (B1G: 5th). Daniel Oturu is seventh in rebounds per game (B1G: 1st), 20th in the country in blocks (B1G: 1st), and 34th in field goal percentage (B1G: 2nd). Oturu's 18 double-doubles rank sixth in the country and second in the Big Ten. Marcus Carr is ninth in the country in assists per game (B1G: 2nd) and leads the Big Ten in minutes per game (NCAA: 17th). Oturu is the Big Ten's second leading scorer while Carr ranks seventh in the conference in points per game.

SCOUTING THE CORNHUSKERS
• Nebraska has dropped 15 consecutive games, with its last win coming on Jan. 7 at home over Iowa, 76-70. Most recently, the Huskers fell at Michigan on Thursday night, 82-58.
• Nebraska is tied with Northwestern for 13th in the Big Ten standings. However, Northwestern holds the tiebreaker after winning both meetings with the Huskers during the regular season.
• Haanif Cheatham leads a trio of Cornhuskers who average double figures, scoring 12.8 points per game.
• The Huskers lead the Big Ten in turnovers forced (14) per game, and are second in turnover margin (2.1). Dachon Burke is second in the confernece with 1.5 speals per game.
