MINNEAPOLIS – As Gopher Hockey prepares for a historic season in 2020-21, GopherSports.com takes one last look back at the 2019-20 campaign with our Top Moments of the Season.
Doug Woog Night ended exactly as it should have at 3M Arena at Mariucci -- with the Battle Hymn of the Republic signaling a Gopher Hockey sweep after the Maroon & Gold took down No. 6 Ohio State over the weekend.
The Gophers honored the late All-American captain and former head coach of the Gophers by securing the program's first Big Ten sweep of the season with a 4-1 win over the Buckeyes on Jan. 25, 2019 on Doug Woog Night.
With the Woog family and many of Woog's former players in attendance, the Maroon & Gold once again brought out the gold "Wooger" jerseys as Minnesota would end the year 4-0-0 in the tribute sweaters.
