Top Moments: McLaughlin Takes Flight

MINNEAPOLIS – As Gopher Hockey prepares for a historic season in 2020-21, GopherSports.com takes one last look back at the 2019-20 campaign with our Top Moments of the Season.
Today's highlight takes us back to the Michigan State series at 3M Arena at Mariucci where sophomore forward Blake McLaughlin showed off his scoring talents with this goal as his legs came out from under him.
McLaughlin, along with linemates Sammy Walker and Scott Reedy, had an unforgettable weekend against the Spartans – scoring five of Minnesota's six goals in the series and 13 of the team's 18 points. McLaughlin led the way with five points (two goals, three assists) while Walker added four assists and Reedy notched three goals and an assist.
Not surprisingly, all three posted their best offensive seasons with the Maroon & Gold in 2019-20.
