Ackroyd Wins Third Straight Alberta U19 Championship

SPRUCE GROVE, Alberta – Minnesota rising sophomore Annabelle Ackroyd asserted herself once again as the best young golfer in the province, capturing her third Alberta Junior Girls Championship Thursday at The Links at Spruce Grove.
Ackroyd earned a six-shot victory in the 54-hole tournament, finishing at 2-under par (68-66-73—207). The champion of the tournament in 2018 and 2019 as well, she tallied eight birdies in the opening round while carding a 66 on Wednesday, a day in which the course format was altered to par-65 after rain forced changes.
