MINNEAPOLIS -- Four signed prospects are currently set to join the Gopher Hockey program as freshmen for the 2020-21 campaign as Bob Motzko has added Brock Faber, Carl Fish, Mike Koster and Mason Nevers to the roster.
Here is what each prospect's former coaches had to say about them.
"Brock is an elite puck-moving defenseman who has worked to become one of the best defenders in the world in his birth year. He comes from a great family and brings high level work ethic and character along with his skill package." -- Former U.S. National Under-18 Team Coach and Current Rochester Americans (AHL) Coach Seth Appert
"Carl is a big, mobile defenseman and a very good skater for his size. He has a lot of upside as a late developer and really hit his stride for us the second season he was here. When you take that and take the type of character Carl has, he can develop into a great hockey player for the Gophers." -- Bismarck Bobcats Head Coach & General Manager Layne Sedevie
"Mike is a two-way defenseman that excels in offensive situations and does a great job running the power play. He is extremely competitive, he's drive to make himself and those around him better, and he's a great teammate." -- Tri-City Storm President of Hockey Operations/Head Coach Anthony Noreen
"Mason is a leader both on and off the ice. His commitment to the game is contagious, and his work ethic is among the best. We were very fortunate to have Mason be a part of the Des Moines Buccaneers this past season.
