Minnesota Readies for Purdue Fall Invitational

The University of Minnesota men's golf team heads to western Indiana to participate in the Purdue Fall Invitational, Oct. 11-12. Competition will take place at the Kampen Course, a par 72 course with a total distance of 7,415 yards. The event will consist of 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.
The field consists of 12 teams, including host Purdue, Ball State, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Illinois State, Kent State, Marquette, Miami, Minnesota, Northern Illinois, and Toledo.
Antoine Sale, Lincoln Johnson, Ben Warian, Bennett Swavely and Harry Plowman-Ollington will take part in the team tally, while Connor Glynn will compete individually.
In Minnesota's last action at the Rich Harvest Farms Intercollegiate, the team finished in a tie for eighth place at 2-under par (292-285-285--862). Warian was the top Gophers' competitor, as he finished tied for 18th. In the final round, he carded a 6-under 66 to finish -2 for the tournament, both career bests. Johnson finished day three with his best round of the tournament, a 1-under 71 to move into a tie for 31st at 1-over. Coming in at a tie for 37th was Sale as he finished +2. Competing as an individual, Plowman-Ollington tied for 58th with a 7-over 223.
