MINNEAPOLIS --The Minnesota men's golf team has two individuals in the top 25 and moved up the team leaderboard after Sunday's second round of the Rich Harvest Farms Intercollegiate in Sugar Grove, Ill.

In a tie for 11th after Saturday's 4-over opening round, the Golden Gophers combined to shoot a 3-under 285 on Sunday to move up to a tie for eighth  at 577 through 36 holes. Missouri holds the lead competition at 10-under par (284-282--566), with Wisconsin following in second place (286-283--569) and Purdue in third (282-288--570). Missouri's Jack Parker (71-67--138) and Marquette's Hunter Eichhorn (69-69--138) sit atop the individual leaderboard at 6-under.

"I am proud of our effort and bounce back from yesterday," head coach Justin Smith said. "We certainly played better positions today which led to more birdies. The round from Bennett Swavely and the incredible round from Ben Warrian were just the energy we needed. We are excited to see the same energy tomorrow and keep building off some great momentum.

For the Gophers, Antoine Sale is the team's top golfer as he sits in 17th place at 1-under (68-75--143) for the tournament. Sunday, Sale made the turn at 4-over, but completed the front nine at 1-under due to three birdies and one bogey.

Joining Sale in the top 25 is Bennett Swavely after he jumped up the leaderboard during the second round of play. The freshman (74-71--145) is one of 11 golfers tied for 24th at 1-over through 36 holes. Swavely carded a 1-under on Sunday going 1-under on the back nine and shooting even-par on the front. He birdied on No. 11 and 2, before recording two bogeys on No. 3 and 6. He ended on a positive note, though, with a birdie on No. 7.

Lincoln Johnson had a consistent day on the course, shooting an even-par second round. The senior exchanged a birdie on No. 12 and a bogey on No. 15 on the back nine. He closed out the day and registered a bogey on holes five and nine, with birdies on six and eight.

Sophomore Ben Warian had the best round of his collegiate career on Sunday. After recording a 9-over opening round, Warian stormed back with a 5-under second round. His back nine featured two birdies to be 2-under at the turn. Another pair of birdies, a bogey and his second eagle in as many days highlighted the front nine. He sits in a tie for 50th (81-67--148). Warian set a new career-best round (67) and round to par (-5) score.

Harrison Arnold rounded out the Gophers' group in a tie for 73rd (76-80--156).

Competing as an individual, Harry Plowman-Ollington carded a 1-under second round to move into a tie for 50th (77-71--148). After shooting an even-par back nine, three birdies in the front nine propelled him to 1-under on the day.

Minnesota will close out the Rich Harvest Farms Intercollegiate with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. CT on Monday morning.
