The No. 11 University of Minnesota women's gymnastics team was defeated 196.800-196.375 on the road by No. 10 Iowa on Saturday afternoon. The Gophers sit at 2-2 overall and 1-2 in conference action this season.

For the second week in a row, Ramler earned the top spot in the all-around (39.575). The senior earned top marks on bars (9.950), tied for second on vault (9.925), was fifth on beam (9.825) and tied for sixth on floor with a 9.875.
Loper followed closely behind Ramler, posting a 39.500 and placing second in the all-around. Loper tied for the floor title (9.950), took a share of second on vault (9.925), tied for third on bars (9.850) and placed eighth on beam (9.775).

Korlin-Downs won her first event title of the season, leading the Gophers on beam and posting a season-high 9.900. Ramler earned a 9.825 for fifth and Montgomery earned a 9.800 to tie at sixth. Loper came in at eighth (9.775) and Nylin was the last score for the Gophers (9.075) after a fall. Minnesota closed the meet with a 48.375 on the event.
