Gophers close the season with a senior day, border battle matchup against the Badgers
The University of Minnesota women's tennis team (3-12) heads home to Baseline Tennis Center for the final time this season. The senior day matchup is scheduled for Saturday, Apr. 17 at 11:00am.
Previous Match
Last weekend, the Gophers dropped their final two road matches of the season. The team fell to #8 Ohio State 4-0 and Penn State 4-3.
Dalila Said, Lucia de Santa Ana and Juliet Zhang picked up singles wins over the weekend. Juliet Zhang secured her 50th collegiate career doubles win in the Penn State match. Freshman Rachel Hanford appeared in the ITA rankings for the third consecutive week, coming in at #92.
The Competition
Wisconsin (8-9) fell out of the ITA top-50 rankings after three consecutive losses. This is the second meeting between these two teams, with Wisconsin taking the conference opener in Madison 5-2.
