The University of Minnesota women's tennis team (4-12) heads to Madison, Wisconsin for the Big Ten Conference Tournament. The No. 11 seeded Gophers match up against the No. 14 seeded Indiana Hoosiers in the first game of the tournament. The opening round matchup is scheduled for Wednesday, Apr. 28 at 10:00 am.
Previous Match
The Gophers closed out their regular season on a high note with a 5-2 Senior Day win over border-rival Wisconsin on Apr. 17. The final match at Baseline Tennis Center this season saw the 'U' win five of six singles matches en route to their sixth consecutive victory at home against the Badgers.
Dalila Said, Lucia de Santa Ana, Juliet Zhang, Rachel Hanford and Ekin Ercetin picked up singles wins to capture the victory. The Gophers mobbed Ekin Ercetin after her 6-4, 6-1 victory on the outdoor courts to secure the win. Freshman Rachel Hanford appeared in the ITA rankings for the fourth consecutive week, coming in at #101.
The Competition
