MINNEAPOLIS – A trio of signed Gopher Hockey prospects are among the top players eligible for the 2021 NHL Entry Draft as the NHL Central Scouting Bureau released its final rankings this week.

Among North American skaters, Chaz Lucius (Forward…Grant, Minn.,…USA Hockey National Team Development Program/Gentry Academy) ranks 12th, Tristan Broz (Forward…Bloomington, Minn.,…Fargo Force/Blake School) ranks 28th and Matthew Knies (Forward…Phoenix, Ariz.,…Tri-City Storm) comes in at 37th.

The trio look to join fellow signed Gophers prospects Aaron Huglen and Rhett Pitlick as NHL draft picks. Both selected in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, Huglen was picked in the fourth round (102nd overall) by the Buffalo Sabres while Pitlick was selected in the fifth round (131st overall) by Montreal.
