Thelwell sets school record for single-game receiving yards

With eight catches for a total of 228 receiving yards, Ryan Thelwell broke Minnesota's single-game receiving yards record in a 26-23 win against Ball State. The receiving mark was previously 193 yards and set by Omar Douglas in a victory against Penn State in 1993. 

In 29 careet games at Minnesota, Thelwell caught 136 passes, including 14 touchdowns, for 2,232 yards. He is second in the Gophers record book for season 100-yard games (6) and season receiving yards per game (95.5) in 1996. Thelwell sits seventh all-time in career receiving yards with 2,232.
