'U' Sends 29 to NHL Training Camps

Minnesota's 115 all-time NHL alums lead all college programs.
MINNEAPOLIS -- No team in college hockey had more NHL alums last year than Minnesota's 22, and the Gopher men's hockey team will look to best that number in 2021-22 as 29 Pride on Ice products have been invited to NHL training camps this year.
With an NCAA-record 115 all-time NHL alums including 2021 First Team All-American Sampo Ranta, Minnesota's 29 training camp alums this year rank second in college hockey and first among Big Ten programs.
