Gophers Falter at Indiana

Five Indiana players reached double-figures during a 73-60 win over Minnesota, including 13 points and 12 rebounds for Trayce Jackson-Davis, and the Hoosiers (12-3, 3-2 B1G) fought off a second half rally by the Gophers (10-3, 1-3 B1G) to remain undefeated (11-0) at home this season.
Indiana used a 17-4 run over the final 6:43 of the first half to build a 10-point halftime lead, but Minnesota's Payton Willis scored 12 points during an 18-7 Gophers run to retake the lead, 47-46, at the 12:25 mark. Minnesota trailed by one following a trey from Jamison Battle with 9:02 left, but the Hoosiers closed the game with an 18-6 run to seal their second-straight victory. Battle led the Gophers with 19 points and added six rebounds, while Willis had 18 points, five boards, and two assists.
The game marked the first road contest lost for the Gophers and are now 5-1 away from Williams Arena.
Minnesota plays at No. 10 Michigan State Wednesday night. The Gophers fell to the Spartans to open Big Ten play in December. Game time is set for 6 p.m. CT and televised on BTN. Fans can also listen to the game on KTLK (AM-1130), FM 103.5.
