Gopher Gymnastics Unveils 2023 Schedule

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota gymnastics program's 2023 schedule features five home contests – including the Intrasquad meet on Dec. 23 – and six away meets. Times and complete broadcast information will be announced at a later date and the schedule is subject to change.
"We are really excited for this year's schedule as we not only face high quality teams but do so in a variety of environments that will prepare us well for the post-season," head coach Jenny Hansen said.
After hosting their annual Intrasquad meet on Friday, Dec. 23 at 12 p.m., the Maroon and Gold will start their 2023 campaign with the Best of Minnesota meet on Friday, Jan. 6. Minnesota will welcome Hamline, Gustavus and Winona State to Maturi Pavilion for the event at 6:00 p.m.
On the weekend of Jan. 14, Minnesota will travel to the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah to compete against Boise State, Washington and UCLA, which includes recent U.S. Gymnastics Championship medalists Ciena Alipio and Jordan Chiles.
The Gophers will kick off Big Ten competition at home with a clash against Penn State during the third weekend in January at Maturi Pavilion.
Following a home meet, Minnesota will travel south for a meet with the Iowa Hawkeyes on Friday, Jan. 27 in Iowa City.
Fans will be able pack the Pav for the first meet in February, as the Gophers host Illinois for a meet during the first weekend in February.
After hosting Illinois, Minnesota will get back on the road and compete against the 2022 Big Ten Champion Michigan Wolverines on Friday, Feb. 10 in Ann Arbor.
Continuing their travels east, the Gophers will take on Maryland in College Park on Sunday, Feb. 19 and then compete in the Big 5 meet against Michigan State, Nebraska, Ohio State and Rutgers on Saturday, Feb. 25.
For the final event at Maturi Pavilion in 2023, the Maroon and Gold will host Boise State for a meet on Sunday, March 4 at 4:00 p.m.
On Friday, March 10, the Gophers will head to Arkansas to take on the Razorbacks in Fayetteville for their final regular season event of the season.
Postseason action will begin with the 2023 Big Ten Championships on Saturday, March 18, hosted by the University of Iowa.
NCAA Regionals will begin on March 28 and NCAA Nationals will take place April 13-15 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
