Sori-Marin Accepts Invitation to Play in Hula Bowl

Linebacker has made 264 career tackles, which includes 130 solo stops
University of Minnesota linebacker Mariano Sori-Marin has accepted an invitation to compete in the Hula Bowl. The annual postseason showcase game will be held on Jan. 14, 2023 at FBC Mortgage Stadium in Orlando, Fla.
Sori-Marin led the Minnesota defense with 78 tackles this season and tied for the team lead with 4.5 tackles for loss. He added one sack and broke up three passes this year in 12 games.
Sori-Marin played in 57 career games for the Gophers and made 264 tackles (130 solo). He also totaled 12.5 tackles for loss and defended nine passes in his career. Sori-Marin added three forced fumbles, one interception and one sack as a Gopher.
Sori-Marin is the sixth Gopher to accept an invitation to a showcase bowl. All-American center John Michael Schmitz will participate in the Senior Bowl, while defensive back Jordan Howden will compete in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. All-American running back Mohamed Ibrahim and defensive back Terell Smith will play in the East-West Shrine Bowl. Quarterback Tanner Morgan will join Sori-Marin at the Hula Bowl.
