Mesones Finishes Fourth at 2022 South American Youth Championship

University of Minnesota women's golf signee Luisamariana Mesones (72-77-74-73--296) finished fourth in the 2022 South American Youth Championship on Saturday in Lima, Peru. The four-day tournament took place from Mar. 23-Mar. 26.
The future-Gopher finished at nine-over par, just seven strokes behind the runner-up and one stroke behind the third place finisher. Mesones had four birdies in the third round, and capped off the tournament with three birdies in the fourth and final round.
Mesones finished the tournament strong, after scoring five-over par, two-over par and one-over par in the final three rounds, respectively.
Mesones will being her career in the Maroon and Gold this upcoming fall.
