MINNEAPOLIS - Seventeen current or former Minnesota men's hockey players are taking part in NHL development camps across the continent, including 15 players that will don the Maroon & Gold during the 2022-23 campaign.
The four most recent draft picks representing the Golden Gophers are in camp with their respective teams, while three are taking part in the event for the second-straight summer after being selected in the 2021 draft. Eight other returning players on the Minnesota roster are all in camp around the league with full details below.
A pair of former Minnesota stars, Ben Meyers and Blake McLaughlin, also have another chance to take part in camps after signing pro contracts in April. Fresh off a Stanley Cup championship earlier this summer, the Colorado Avalanche have former team captain Meyers after he made five NHL appearances late in the year, while McLaughlin is in camp with the Anaheim Ducks following a seven-game stint in the AHL at the end of 2021-22.
