Set 2: Minnesota started out hot in set two. After trailing 3-1, six straight points gave the Gophers a 7-3 lead and forced BU into taking a timeout. BU scored the next two before a 4-0 Gophers run ran the lead to 11-5 midway through set two. A kill from Wenaas, service ace by Shaffmaster and a kill from Husemann allowed the 'U' to go up a set-high eight points at 16-8. The Gophers went up by as many as nine at 23-14 and closed it out, 25-16. Wenaas tallied a trio of kills and a block in the final few points to cement the second set win for Minnesota.
