'U' Cruises in Exhibition Matchup

Minnesota defeated the University of Manitoba 13-0 on Saturday afternoon at Ridder Arena.
MINNEAPOLIS – The No. 2 Golden Gopher women's hockey team cruised to a 13-0 victory over the University of Manitoba on Saturday afternoon at Ridder Arena. Minnesota used 23 skaters and all three goalies in the exhibition victory.
Fifth-year forward Grace Zumwinkle tallied a hat-trick in her return to the Maroon and Gold lineup as one ten different players to tally a goal. In total, 18 skaters found the stat sheet with nine of them recording multiple points. The Gophers outshot the Bisons 65-10.

The Gophers host the Whitecaps for an exhibition contest next Friday at 7:00 p.m. The free-admission contest will be the final exhibition game before the Gophers officially kick off the 2022-23 season against Bemidji State on Oct. 7 at Ridder Arena.
