The University of Minnesota added 26 players to its roster today on national signing day. Head coach P.J. Fleck and his staff signed players from 14 states and two countries.
The class consists of eight position groups, 14 defensive players and 12 offensive players and.
On defense, the Gophers added five defensive linemen, one linebacker and eight defensive backs. On offense, Minnesota signed three quarterbacks, three running backs, two tight ends, two offensive linemen and two wide receivers.
The Gophers added seven players from Minnesota, three from New York, and two from Illinois and Georgia. Minnesota also signed one player from Alabama, Arkansas, California, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin. The Gophers also added wide receiver Dallas Sims from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
