Warian Tied for 13th as Gophers Finish Day One at Tiger Collegiate

MINNEAPOLIS - Junior Ben Warian finds himself in a tie for 13th place after the University of Minnesota Men's Golf team completed its first 36 holes Monday at the Tiger Collegiate in Columbia, Mo.Â
The Gophers currently sit in 13th place overall with a team score of 3-over par (293-286–579).Â
Fifth-ranked Illinois sits atop the at 46-under par (269-261–530) followed by host-Missouri (-31) and Marquette (-23).
Notable:
Warian leads the Gophers with a score of 6-under par (68-70–138). He tallied nine birdies and one eagle in his first 36 holes. Warian also finished in the top 10 in par-four scoring, finishing 5-under on the par fours.Â
Making his spring debut, graduate Jacob Pedersen notched 10 birdies over his first 36 holes. He currently sits in a tie for 45th, with a score of 6-over par (78-67–145).Â
Also making his spring debut, sophomore Bennett Swavely is tied for 60th after posting back to back rounds of 2-over par (74-74–148).Â
Senior Antoine Sale (74-75–149) is one shot back of Swavely in a tie for 63rd, while sophomore Eduardo Galdos (77-75–152) rounds out the Gophers in a tie for 71st.Â
