Isabella McCauley remains in the top 10 tied for eighth
PITTSBURGH, PA. - The University of Minnesota women's golf team finished the second round of the Big Ten Championship today at Fox Chapel Golf Club. The course continued to play difficult with added moisture from an early rainfall.
Isabella McCauley shot a team-best 74 (+3) helping lead the Gophers to a team score of 303 (+19) and now a two-day total of 604 (+36).
Ohio State took the lead late from Illinois today shooting 285 (+1). Their two-day score of 577 (+9) has them one stroke ahead of Illinois, and four in front of Northwestern.

"We have one more round to play golf the Gopher way," said head coach Rhyll Brinsmead. "We know we're capable of shooting a number that can keep us competitive. Nothing left to lose at this point and we're excited to move forward tomorrow."
Notable:
Freshman Isabella McCauley dominated the front nine once again posting two birdies and six pars which helped keep her in the top ten. Her score of 74 (+3) has her in a tie for eighth.
Luisamariana Mesones improved by two strokes between rounds one and two carding a 75 (+4). Mesones moved forward four places and is tied for 39th.
Leah Herzog notched 12 pars on her way to shooting another 77 (+6). The senior sits in a tie for 47th heading into the final round.
Grace Curran rolled home eight pars and one birdie in round two. Her 10-over-par 81 has her tied for 68th.
Junrui Chi started the day well with six pars and one birdie on the front. She paired this with two more birdies on the back shooting 78 (+7) and is in a tie for 72nd.
Emma Carpenter shed off six strokes in day two tallying nine pars and two birdies. Carpenter's 77 (+6) has her in a tie for 78th.
