Minnesota picks up its fifth consecutive conference win and fourth shutout in five games

GAME ONE
MADISON, Wis. - Junior Jacie Hambrick and senior Bri Enter combined to throw a shutout on Tuesday as the Minnesota Golden Gophers blanked the Wisconsin Badgers 9-0.

Hambrick (7-6) started and picked up the win for Minnesota (29-16, ), going three shutout innings while giving up three hits, walking none, and striking out three. Enter was dealing out of the bullpen as well, going two shutout innings, allowing two hits.

Freshman Sydney Schwartz led the way offensively for the Golden Gophers, going 1-for-3 in the ballgame with a home run and two RBI. Freshman Jess Oakland provided a noteworthy effort as well, going 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI. Senior Amani Bradley also contributed, going 1-for-3 for Minnesota with two RBI.



HOW IT HAPPENED
The Golden Gophers took the lead for good in the second, scoring for the first time in the inning. Minnesota's offense started clicking and put up five runs, including a two-run single off the bat of Oakland and a two-run single from Bradley.

The Golden Gophers also added runs in the third and fourth innings on the way to the 9-0 victory.

MADISON, Wis. - Senior Autumn Pease and senior Bri Enter combined to throw a shutout on Tuesday as the Minnesota Golden Gophers blanked the Wisconsin Badgers 7-0.

Pease (21-6) started and picked up the win for Minnesota (30-16, ), going six shutout innings while giving up one hit, walking one, and striking out nine. Enter was dealing out of the bullpen as well, going one shutout inning, allowing one hit, walking none and striking out one.

At the plate, the Golden Gophers were led by senior Amani Bradley, who went 2-for-3 on the day with a home run, a walk and an RBI. Sophomore Kayla Chavez put together a noteworthy day at the dish as well, going 1-for-4 with a home run and an RBI. Junior Maddy Ehlke also helped out for Minnesota, putting together two hits in four trips to the plate while adding two doubles.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Golden Gophers then tacked on runs in four more innings, with their biggest output coming in the seventh when they scored two times. A solo homer from Chavez was the highlight of the inning.
