Women's Hoops 2023-24 Conference Schedule Unveiled

The Big Ten Conference revealed the entire conference slate on the Big Ten Network on Thursday.

MINNEAPOLIS – The 2023-24 University of Minnesota women's basketball conference schedule has officially been unveiled by the Big Ten Conference, it was announced on B1G Today on Thursday. The conference slate features nine home contests and nine road games that will begin for the Golden Gophers on December 10, against Purdue.
 
Fans can guarantee their seats to all the team's home games by purchasing season tickets on GopherSports.com. Single-game tickets will be available to season ticket holders starting on September 26 at 9 a.m. and will be available to Gopher Score and Goldy's Kids Club at 1 p.m. The public can purchase single-game tickets starting on October 3, at 9 a.m. Additionally, tipoff times, TV/streaming coverage and a full promotions schedule will all be announced at later dates.
 
In total four of Minnesota's nine Big Ten games will be against 2023 NCAA Tournament teams, those include Purdue, Iowa, Maryland, and Ohio State. Minnesota's conference season will begin with two matchups in December. Head Coach Dawn Plitzuweit's first conference game as the head coach of the Maroon and Gold will be at Williams Arena on December 10, against the Purdue Boilermakers. The other conference foe in the month of December for the Gophers is against Iowa, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on December 30.
 
The 2024 calendar year will begin with a home matchup with Maryland on January 3. Six days later the Gophers will play their third straight 2023 NCAA Tournament opponent, the Michigan Wolverines, on the road on January 9. The Nebraska Cornhuskers will travel to the Barn for the fifth straight season on January 14 and the Gophers will follow that matchup with a road contest against the Indiana Hoosiers on January 17.
 
Minnesota will continue the trend of one home and one away game each week when Michigan State comes to the Twin Cities on January 20, while Wisconsin will play host to the Gophers on January 23 at the Kohl Center. Illinois will play host to the 'U' on January 28, which will be followed by the Maroon and Gold hosting the Penn State Nittany Lions to wrap up the month of January on the 31st.
 
The month of February will feature three home and three away games for Minnesota starting with a road contest against Michigan State on Monday, February 5. That game will be followed by a matchup back at Williams Arena with the Ohio State Buckeyes.
 
Minnesota will travel to Piscataway, N.J., to take on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on February 13 and then will return for a home contest against Northwestern on February 17. After a second matchup with Wisconsin on February 20 at home, the Gophers will head back on the road on February 24, for a second matchup with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The Gophers regular season home finale will be against the Iowa Hawkeyes on February 28. Then Minnesota's final Big Ten game of the regular season will be a road game against Penn State on March 3.
 
The 2024 Big Ten Tournament is scheduled to be held in Minneapolis, Minn., March 6-10 at Target Center.
